Climbing Cotopaxi Volcano

For a long time, we had our sights set on hiking a mountain over 5000m/16400ft and somewhere along the way we deemed that it would be Cotopaxi. We tried to reach 5000m/16400ft altitude in Mexico, however we were not acclimated properly so we only reached 4600m/1500ft. This time though ‘we thought we were prepared’. An…

Columbia

We have now crossed the Darian Gap from Panama to Columbia successfully and retrieved our car in South America. Although our car arrived on the 23rd in Cartagena, Columbia we were not able to pick it up until the 28th. However, when we say pick it up we mean start the gruelling 2 full day…

Nicaraguan Adventures: Part 1

Volunteer Trip to San Miguel

We got a little to comfortable hanging out in Erica’ s complajio for the week, sleeping in late, having Game of Thrones marathons (we just started!), making dinners in a real kitchen and even baking cookies! Everyone spoke English and were so kind in helping us find a local mechanics to get our windows tinted,…
